I regularly tie 18 through 24. It is just like tying the larger flies, the
material has to be smaller, hackle, feathers. Also the use a thinner thread,
0/8 works great. If you have more questions, i can answer specific ones for you.

I am used to fishing in the winter so the cold is not a problem. I expected the
use of small flies. I will be taking my midge box for sure. Thanks for the help
near the shopping. My wife will enjoy that while i sneak away and throw in a
fly or two.

I will be taking a family vacation next week sedona az and would like to do a

that area. Has anyone fished there, if so what would you suggest and where.

Try trolling a heavy Chili Pepper.

Try and minnow pattern. Ex. Clouser minnow. The weighted eyes should have
enough weight.

I would use a weighted wolly bugger or egg sucking leech. I would add more
weight than usual if you are using a regular pole.

Iain, i
I was looking for a flyfishing/tying group today and found this group. I read
some of the posts and I liked what I read. Is there anyone here from utah? I
have been flyfishing for over 10 years and tying my own flies for 8. Does
anyone know any good flies for winter stream fishing?
