Canada. I'm just starting to videoblog, and I'm loving every minute
of it!
I've been making videos for a few years, mostly focusing on the canine
sport of agility and in 2002 made a 90 minute video titled "The
Wizards of Paws"
I use mostly Final Cut Pro. It has a steep learning curve, but it's a
powerful program. I've also got iMovie and occasionally use it if I
know it will be a quick and dirty video. Although you can do things
like L-edits (video ends before the sound) and J-edits (sound starts
before the video

I agree, there are no timelines, no transitions, or titling tools in
QT Pro. And still, I have managed to vlog for 7 months using QT pro
99% of the time. So clearly, it IS possible to vlog with QT pro. Just
had to say that :)
If you are used to a timeline based editor, stick with that. But QT
