Shooting a good clean progressive image generally looks better than shooting interlaced and deinterlacing. I'm haven't shot with the Xacti, so i don't know how it performs, but i know shooting with my Panasonic HVX200 in progressive is much better compared to say an FX1 at 1080i. but again once i
