Can anyone help me out with a link to easy FLV encoding on OSX 10.4.x?
Have you tried the 'difficult' FLV encoding on OS X using ffmpegX?
Once you've got all installed, and get a formula down, it's not too bad

I have ffmpegX, but couldn't find the FLV export.
Is there a link to the 'difficult' process?

Blip's free flash encoding can't be beat. Light years better than You

I agree. I was using Flash 8 built in encoder. It takes about as long as
encoding h.264 and my results were hardly distinguishable from the flv at
blip. Also, most times it's faster to let blip do it.

I have a full version of flash, but it is MX, have the whole suite in
fact. It's a bummer.
As far as encoding at Blip, that's been my resolution 'til now. I
bought a pro account and am hiding videos.
The only problem is that my cel connection out here is super slow.

YouTube, let them encode it to FLV, and then after you play it back fish the
FLV out of browser cache ;-)
