QT7.4 seems to have fixed some Vista bugs.

I suspect you have a codec problem. Just a few thoughts.
1. I'd download a copy of MPEG Sreamclip, import the .avi to .mov to
see if that helps.
2. Or you could bring it into Windows Movie Maker2 and export it out
as DV - avi. Then bring it into QT Pro.
I wouldn't convert anything using Windows
Have you tried Flip4Mac. It takes a WMV and converts it to .mov.
Just a thought.

I have always converted my movies using Windows Movie Maker (which is
what I meant in the first e-mail but was rushing when I typed it -
must remember to proofread e-mails) into QT Pro. It is my only
option, and it is what I'm used to. It's never given me a problem
