Looks good, but I had a hard time understanding what you were
saying. Some kind of audio problem, I guess, or maybe you were just
speaking too softly. Are you going to Vlog the whole trip? Feel free
to look me up when you come thru St. Louis. I live very near Route

A few weeks ago, I started using a different url for the video I linked
to on the site versus the video I linked to as an enclosures. It's still

Yeah, that is annoying but it is not nearly as bad as when you go to a
vlog's homepage that has every posts loading an embedded video. That
is cause for an instant click on stop and back.
Most blogging software supports a post summary and a post body. We
use the summary on all non-post pages as
This is a bit of a problem with Windows Media Player. If you right click
to open the context menu and check the Properties, it will give you the
specs of the player view, not of the video itself. It resizes itself
width-wise to whatever value you set, but height has to be correct or

ah... no sorry... seems to work... never mind!
thanks!!! I think I was changing the height and the width at the
same time the last time... looks great now!

The properties of the video itself tell me it's 400x300.
When I resize the player dimensions smaller, it just makes
everything smaller, and the black borders are still there.

Re: the black borders -- you're showing a TV-style sized video
inside a movie-style player window that is 400 x 300. Change the width=

video. Be sure to include room for the player controls.
For 320 x 240 video use width
Embedding a video vs. popping it in another window or player does not
pose any technological back-end restrictions or problems. Its a
choice for user interface and design. Whatever you would like can
work just fine.

Yes, we want our video files hosted on our server.

Do others find it annoying though that when they are watching the
video in ANT and the embedded video starts playing in the HTML area?

I use WordPress for LeanBackVids.com and we're able to declare a media
enclosure without having to link directly to the file. Even if I do
not add the enclosure, WordPress is ususally smart enough to do it for me.
Not sure about the "obvious permalink" though. Either way, we've

Yes, I'd been there, but they only teach you how to upload videos

Thanks Steve for sending me in the right direction... that sure got
me started. I wasn't able to get the code on the our media post
working properly, but the link back to the MS site itself gave me an
even simpler line of code to use and it works. Check it out!

Hello,
No its not a redundant question at all, it comes up fairly often but
theres no harm in repeating this stuff.
Basically it depends wat format of video you use. That pinup site uses
flash, it looks like you'll be using wmv?
There are many guides to doing this stuff, and some people have
