SCSI ID on the internal drive should be set to 0. Take all three Id jumpers off.
Termination on the internal drive s

up there to work i can have a list to go thru.. We are hoping the
middle of january to have it open for people to drive up for. The
people who drive out will get first pick mainly because we dont have
to ship it.

Hi, I'm writing from Milan, Italy: I would be interested in an Apple IIgs,
but the shipping costs would be too expensive from US to Italy. The machine
could be sent to New York instead: I just wonder what's your price for a
IIgs. Thanks,
Thomas.

Tried using a SCSI cable from the G3 I have, which I know works, and
nothing. Still doesn't recognize drives.
Any other thoughts?
The actual drive that came with the CPU which I thought wasn't
working, the 40MB one, DOES work, it works in the G3, except even the
Classic won't recognize it, and t
Hi Derek,
I am running OS 10.4.11 on a G4 and the connection to the old IIFx OS
7.5.5 runs easy via ethernet connection.
The G4 cannot see the IIFx but from the latter I can easily connect to
th G4 via TCP.
The Chooser 7.5.5 comes up and asks for the IP adress of the G4 and
from there it goes easy.

Hi all,
I know this has been covered before, but having saved many thousands of emails
over the last 7 or 8 years I am at a loss trying to find the specific
information.
My home file server is running 10.3.9 (server) which seems great as I can
access it from all my OS X machines and from Mac O
Hi,
The Mac Classic does not need the internal battery to boot from a hard
drive, none of the Compacts Macs do except for the Color Classic.
I'm not surprised that hard drives from a Powermac G3 don't work in a
Classic. Most likely you are trying 7200 rpm or faster drives that require a
lot of po
Hey guys, just an update.
I replaced the internal battery, nothing.
I acquired a PowerMac G3 beige tower with a floppy drive to try moving
some drive utilities that way, it won't recognize the apps on the
disks. It always says the app is busy or missingnot sure what
that means.
Also, I've p
