I had finished lubricating a floppy drive from my SE/30 since it was
sticking during the auto-inject sequence of loading a disk, and it was
working very nicely. Then a few days later, I wanted to go through my
collection of old floppies and then it started having problems reading the

I am looking into overhauling the analog and Sony PSU's. I am thinking of
replacing the capacitors for both units. Any advice on what other

In my case it already wasn't working, so I don't know if it was wrecked by
the disk before trying to clean it. Maybe excessive friction ruined the
alignment?

polymer SMD aluminum can types that are more reasonably priced if you order
more than 10. They don't have fluid inside them like the OEM version and
are the same form-factor as the original, so they will fit the pads

The bags I've come across are made of a nylon or similar material so you can
safely wash them with water if there is no leather or embedded cardboard
stiffeners. You could probably dump soapy water over the bag, gently scrub
it, then hose it off to rinse and let it air dry.
