Mac 128k / 512k

Hey "NotGoing to tellyou" , thanks for your help earlier, haven't got the time to fit the se30 flyback from my spare se to my 512k, but i was wondering, do i really have to swap the dectifier diode and transistor? i saw a cheap (35€) flyback from Japan to replace my old flyback, if i had bought

you can do it however you like. I was just offering info from my experience. You could probably buy a whole SE (A/B) or whole machine, from ebay for that amount. I probably would not tear into a SE/30, but an old ratty 8mhz SE, yes. SE’s are just 8mhz, SE/30’s are in their own world. I w

i got a spare crt from a classic (1) , where are you from? Also: Notgoing totellyou: I finaly replaced the flyback from 1 mac to the other, i found out that the ground cable wasn't connected to the screen, someone had been messing with the 128k and left it disconected, so i ended up not needi

Hi Vasco, Check the solder joints on L2 J1 and C5 - remove the solder, clean and reconnect with new solder. Cracked or dry joints on these components can cause collapsing lines either to a vertical line or a horizontal line. As the problem gets steadily worse, it is likely the problem is caused b

Whoa, it seems i got a new problem now, yesterday before i put everything back together, i discharged the flyback transformer using a screwdriver connected to my outlet "earth" connection, i heard a large snap, normal for these procedures, and proceded to attack everything nicely and close the
