The problem I'm having with Netscape 4.78 on a
Mac right now is that it will not react to clicking
on ftp:// links nor will it download files or
go into directories on FTP sites. I can hold the
button until I get the menu and select download
or for directories I can open in a new window.

I have been experiencing terrible crashes with Netscape 4.7 for the
last few days, and now I'm having trouble it stay open for more than
about 10 seconds on startup.
I'm worried that I'll lose my email, addresses, and bookmarks in

I wouldn't bother about Netscape 6.x. It is based on
an older mozilla
build. I don't know what you find so irritating
about the user
interface. It must be some time ago that you last
tried
Netscape/Mozilla. The only irritating feature
