Duh. I should've remembered you can still get 6.0.8
from Apple's
Older Software Downloads. Thanks Pickle and Gamba.

I had a Trailing Edge article on parallel ports

Hmm, good to see your Networking 101 is no longer 404.
Oh well, I'll most likely

Nothing, but since it's the only way to install an FPU
into the LC short of soldering in a socket where
Apple originally intended to put one, (Or is that only
the LCII?) that's where the FPU has to go if you
run any apps that need one.
It only sees the other computer though; the other computer can't
mount the SE's HD. That's a system 6 thing though IIRC.
Yeah, now that you mention it, I recall the same thing- I was
recently mucking around with a System 6 SE myself. I needed to
transfer some files so I just plugged a printer

I remember reading something about how you can't set up file sharing on
System 6 (which would enable you to mount it from another computer).
For 7 ways to file serve with System 6 see:

None of the 7 methods are as good as System 7's built in file

Okay, it's not a quite a Mac, but still. These are the kind of people that

Speaking of FPU's I was wondering how a 68881 and a 68882 differed.
From a list of Macs that I have it appears that only the II came with the
68881 (built-in) and that it could be added to the LC via an FPU card.
