As I rediscover my MacTV, I came across the idea that the system can have
up to 36mb RAM (4 on board and I guess a 32mb chip, since there is only
one slot).

stumbled across a few things. The first is a Win32 tool called "MacDisk"
that is a free download with a 5-day evail. It formats disks and de-hqx's

a new hard drive at all. The drive spins up, so I know at least it's
installed correctly and getting power. I guess I also know there is no
SCSI ID conf
