Hmmm... my Mac Plus doesn't have ethernet so can't use that, and my
SE/30 runs 7.1

I'm no expert on this, I think the only 68k Mac that can be brought forward
to a PPC is the Quadra 800, and that takes saving the upper case, throwing
out the rest and putting the upper case on a PM 8500. The back and the
bottom will not work on a 8500. (I tried years ago, and bought the mobo a
!!WARNING - Incoming 13 part Essay!! :D :O :P

Don't up-grade that LC! Downgrade it! Install OS 6.0.8L and watch it
boot fast, and run fast.
I highly recommend the "VersaTerm" s/w package. It still works with six
and gives FTP, Email, and Terminal apps. I've FTP'd from PC's, Mac's
and Unix servers all around the world.
