I guess the question is, what is the advantage of using the stylus over a
finger?

Depends. It could be the iPhone 3G or it could be the third generation network
such as ATT and others use etc.

Hi what is a 3G?
I saw this message once as well. I left my iPhone in a car, and it got
quite hot. Fortunately I haven't had any negative side effects since.
I have no idea why you'd see this if your iPhone was just on a docking
station and wasn't hot.

Hi Tara and others,
The following is according to a support article I found:
Operate iOS devices where the temperature is between 0º and 35º C (32º to
95º F). Low- or high-temperature conditions might temporarily shorten
battery life or cause the device to alter its behavior to regulate its
Hi, unfortunately not. I mainly use the iPad in landscape mode and
Fleksy has really helped with this, but even without Fleksy, placing my
fingers where the keys go on the mini in landscape isn't too bad. It
takes some practice, but can be done. I imagine it would be even better

I have often thought of getting hold of a stylist to play on my iPhone. I
sometimes notice that the fingers that I use the most become a little sticky
and therefore don't want to glide over the surface. I then swap fingers.
However, if I had a stylus, this would be Avoided. I would be

Yes, I agree the dog's help is better than most. However, I don't always have a

I'll take a look at My Way. Thanks for that recommendation.

The stylus will work just like using one finger. So, you can touch the screen
with the stylus and get the same effect as you get using a finger.
Many people are not comfortable signing or drawing with the finger, so they
prefer to use the stylus.

Since I find no tutorial for the use of Talking Goggles, please would

Hi Don,
Talking Goggles really is super easy since there are only 5 buttons (when in
Still Camera mode) or 4 buttons (when in Video mode).
As you already found out, the button at the top right is for language.
At the top left Flash Off means exactly that, Flash Off.
If you double tap it it just
Hi Sieghard,
I will try these suggestions when I have a few minutes later on this evening. I
have noticed that VO will speak when I'm on a call and it's most annoying. Now,
I have a method on how to turn VO off during a call. Thanks.

I downloaded Emoji from the app store. Here is a link:

Then I went into settings, general, keyboard, international, and selected Emoji
in the list.
Now when you open your keyboard in a text field, you will find
Hi Eileen,
If you are looking for a way to shut up Voiceover during a call there is a
much better and easier method. Once you are on a call just take your phone
away from your ear for a moment, then do a triple finger double tap to mute
speech. This way Voiceover gestures like a 2-finger double
Hi Chuck,
What does Emoji from the app store do? Does it add newer and yet more things? I
have the Emoji keyboard enabled in Settings, General, Keyboard, but I never
downloaded anything from the app store and there are a lot of symbols already.

OK, sorry, I guess I should have read the app description first. The reviews
are not so good since like with Fleksy it appears these emoji are not actually
available or added to the keyboard but it's an app where you have to copy and
paste the emoji into your text.

Perhaps I have given some bad advice here. I did not know that was a Emoji
keyboard in the international keyboard settings before I downloaded this app.
If this is the case, all you need to do is go to general, keyboard,
international, and then select the Emoji keyboard.

Hi Ray,
Similar to the Recent Call list in the Phone App, once you are in the Skype
app, double tap on the Recents tab at the bottom (second from the left).
Here you have an Edit button at the top left, after you double tap on it you
have a Delete Switch button beside each conversation, double
OK, I thought you meant that when you install this app the emojis from it also
appear on the regular Emoji keyboard which, by the way, is sort of hidden in
the list of other language keyboards since it appears under e rather than
being at the top or bottom by itself.

Yes, I gave some bad advice. I deleted the app I downloaded and the Emoji
keyboard is still in the international keyboard list, so there is no need to
download the app. I will now stand in the corner with a dunce cap on.
