Hi. The homepod speakers will be released in the US, UK and
Australiean markets in December, the rest of the World will follow
presumably during 2018. But will the new speakers only support Apple
music? Probably though this was not addressed during the keynote.

Hi all, I have an iPhone 7 Plus running the most recent data. I don't think my
problem has anything to do with beta however, since it popped up before the
most recent beta became available. A couple of days ago, a friend sent me an

Hi Jasper. The Echo lets you listen to iHeartRadio, Pandora, Spotify and

I'm also Russian and once in a while experience similar problem. If you hear a

Hi Anna,
The problem comes in when for instance, the Russian voice starts trying to read
English, even though my language rotor is set to default, which should be Alex.
I also tried it with US English, which in my case is Samantha. The Russian
voice still read that Amazon message, or at least p
Mary,
I don't deal with multiple languages, but did you try forwarding the message to
yourself to see if it changed behavior?
I'm wondering if it is some code in the message that gets changed. I know that
is a long shot, but this does seem really odd.

Hi, sieghard,

No, I haven't tried forwarding a message to myself. I suppose I can try that
and see what happens. It seems so strange and random though. It's going to be a
hard one to fix I suspect.

I can almost guaranty that the HomePod will leave a Play 1 in the dust with
respect to sound quality and wouldn't be surprised if it were more in the
league of a Play 5 which is $499. I also love my Sonos gear, but fortunately
most of my stuff predates the Play 1, Play 3 and Play 5 and I have 3

Hello,
I am looking for an accessible app that will aid in following trails. Does
anyone know of one which is accessible or recommended? An app which would
indicate rest areas, junctions, and just... aid in following a trail would
be super.
Thanks.

Mary,
I know you said you've tried rebooting to work around this issue but have you

Hi Alan, no. I had not tried turning voiceover on and off independent of
restarting the phone. I just did it with your message, since it started reading
with the Russian voice rather than English. And shutting off voiceover and then
turning it back on had no effect on your message. It only does
And now, Alan, just for fun, I switch the voices to Samantha and then back to
Alex. And the Russian voice did not read with Samantha. And it also did not
read with Alex. What a strange bug.

Mary,
Well, it was worth a shot but I'm sorry it didn't work. I understand your
frustration. These sort of issues that Apple can't duplicate but are obvious to
us are exceedingly annoying. I'll keep my fingers crossed that this issue
disappears in a later release.

Hi Mary,
Just to clarify ... when I do this I touch the status bar, the I double tap the
status bar, then when I move my finger back to the main area I end up having
selected whatever is under my finger; I was expecting to have the top item in
the list to be selected?
Thanks,

That is correct chip.
The list on the main part of the screen starts with the very first item. But,,
the standard behavior of VO is whatever you touch is selected.
So, until you touch on the main screen, the VO cursor is still in the status

The 4 finger is not as much a tap but a touch. to me the difference is in
the fource you use. I think of a tap having more fource than a touch.
