Although this probably borders on heresy for this list, I use my iPhone 3-GS exclusively as a wifi device, no phone service other than Skype. I do so because I am not anxious to incur exorbitant charges for data. One thing which I presently do not have is GPS access. Something I read from a c

Hi. Your iPhone has GPS built into it. Even if you bought an external receiver, you'd still need a data plan to get updated maps, since the maps are stored in the cloud. Not to worry, though. Apps like Navigon store the maps on the iPhone, so all you'd do is download what you'd need via WI-FI,
