Hi, are you syncing your contacts through a cloud service like Google Contacts? If you are, then I don't believe the iPhone field will show up since Google doesn't support that. In the past for me it used to get switched to the field called Other. Since I don't use iMessages I don't bother

Hello Hope, They can send iMessages as long as they have updated their phone to iOS 5 and have enabled iMessages. I always find it amazing how many people who are simply users and not very interested in technology itself are still running older iPhones like the 3GS or 4 on the software that was
