The Apple Watch user guide says you can connect the included charger with an
iPhone or iPad charger, so I think you'll be okay using the iPad one.

I'm confused though, because you can charge an iPhone 6 Plus with that 12 what
charger, as well as the five what charger. Apparently the iPhone 6 Plus can
charge it 2.1 amp speed. I'm guessing the Apple Watch can't as of yet?

It wouldn't take all that wattage, it is a standard voltage, so it is Ok; it
only gets iffy when you put a big item on a smaller
charger.
I have one of these multi-socket chargers and put them all on at once.
