Actually, level is part of the Measure app as Mark pointed out in his post. The
Measure app could be in a folder called Utilities or it could be elsewhere
depending on how you set up your phone and arrange your apps.

The app is actually called Measure; there is a Level tab. Use this
semi-frequently and it works quite well.

Mark,
This was very
The level app has been around a long time before iOS 16. I agree it is a great
tool.

Hi Mark,
I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I obviously have old technology where my
washing machine is concerned. But I really dome like technology that tries to
think for me but a washing machine that never got out of balance would be nice.
Glad you got it working right and I'll wish you're
Wow! What a wonderful use of the level app.
Thank you so much for sharing this with us, Malcolm.

Hello Alan,
It is good to hear from you.
Yes, I would have thought so, also but in 4 years, my washer has not required
that I redistribute the load. This model has an amazing gyroscope built in to
the basket.
In fact, one reason why it took me so long to address the problem is because
Mark’s interesting post reminded me of my mechanical weight driven cuckoo clock.
Perhaps some of you will already know for the clock to continue to run it has
to be vertical or it will stop between five to and the hour. The chins that
are attached to the weights have to be exactly vertical.
Mark,
This was very interesting with excellent detail about the iOS Level app. I
suspect that even with a perfectly level washer, you will experience occasions
especially when laundering bed linens, blankets, and towels that they will get
out of balance in your washer causing it to shake,
Amazing.
