I know. It can be annoying.
Here are the steps from my search online:
Open the Google Home app .
Tap and hold your device's tile.
Tap Settings. Device information.
Tap Wi-Fi. Forget This network.
Return to the Google Home app home screen and follow the setup steps
above to connect your device to

Unless you need to reset your device. I did that once, but cannot
remember the instructions. I can look it up online if you need it.

It’s probably easier to set it up on your phone. You need the google home app,
the Google assistant app, and the play music app. You use the Google Home app
to link everything together. At least, that’s how I did it. I hope this helps,
