OK is flexi available to be able to type in Spanis, or not yet? Sounds
interesting!

Debbie, thanks for having the guts to admit this; I feel the same as you. I
have come to the conclusion that I simply have not practiced typing enough
on the iPhone. With BT keyboards and Siri it's easy to avoid typing on the
phone. Ive gotten somewhat better but I', still not a proficient typist
Debbi,
I wonder if you aren't trying too hard for accuracy when you type with
fleksy. That was my problem when I first got the app and it still
happens occasionally when I think too hard about where I'm tapping on
the screen.
Try simple sentences at first for practice. Type quickly not waiting
Just keep practicing and you'll get it. Fleksy is the greatest app I've ever
seen. I love it.

Hi,
This is one of many reasons why i never ever ever will get Fleksy. What would i
want it for when there's an adequate keyboard already present and one that can
adapt to the situations, so if there's an email, to type the adress, there will
pop up a keyboard with relevant signs already in
Hi,
The other thing that hangs up some folks trying to use Fleksy for the first
time is the tendency to hold your finger on the letter you are aiming for.
This is natural if you have been used to touch typing since you really learn
to wait for that verbal VO confirmation. But with Fleksy, the
Hi,
The short answer to the why would I question is that most people report a
three or even four-fold typing speed increase on average.
Now if you already type like a machine gun on steroids then you have made
your point.
It certainly isn't for everyone but judging by comments made on this list
Hi, for what it's worth, I'm not using Fleksy as much as I thought I
would. Don't get me wrong, I still think it's a neat program for those
who will use it to its advantages. However so far I haven't experienced
a significant increase in typing speed.
I've even made sure to retrain my muscle
I guess I'm just a lot more pragmatic. I'm going to use whatever tools
make my life easier and make me more productive. I wouldn't have been
employed the last 20 plus years without products like JAWS. I doubt we'd
even have the accessibility on mainstream products today like we do on
the iPhone
Yep I'm having the same issue with fleksy just can't seem to get the
spacial concepts. I do know my qwerty keyboard well. I guess I just
need more practice.

I agree with Debbi here, for me it's a hell of a lot easier just to type, I'm a
pretty accurate typist.

The thing is, it never got anything I tried to type correct, so for me, it's

Hi Richard,
I had a bit of a problem with typing accuracy with Fleksy when I started out.
First off, let me ask you. How fast are you typing with Fleksy? You don't have
to answer me. Just think about it. Sometimes I find that I get some words
consistently right and other words consistently
Thanks so much for your message, you have inspired me to give it another shot!Î

I find myself using Fleksy often. It is just forming a new habit. I have the
app on my home screen and I tap it open before sending a message or status
update. I want to practice more before composing a long email. The one thing
I'm struggling with is reviewing and editing a large amount of
Hi Traci,
Not being able to edit large amounts of text with Fleksy is one of my biggest
gripes with it right now. If you suddenly discover that you wrote the wrong
word a sentence or two back, you're stuck debating everything you've typed up
to that point. Granted I could be missing something.
Hi,
I found it took me a while to get used to it. I am much faster than I was
before I had fleksy but do find I quite often don't get the word I want
first time and have to go down the suggestions list. I think I find the
keyboard easier in landscape mode, just seems to work better for me.
Hi Krister,
I understand the points you are making but do feel there is a place for both
mainstream and specialist apps. I agree all IPhone users need to get to
grips with the standard keyboard but honestly feel if a specialist app can
massively increase your productivity then that can't be a bad
In my experience with this app, I've found Rose is right on the money
with her excellent advice. Establishing a good rhythm was crucial to
my breakthrough with Fleksy. Go too slowly and you're inclined to
confuse it. Go too fast and taps won't register properly. Getting into

The switch keyboard button is just to the left of the space bar. If you haven't
added any keyboards, you'll find them under settings, general, keyboards, then
search for emoji.
Hope this helps,

Hi,
I may be a whiner only, but i can remember when the IPhone came out and
everyone at least the majority on the lists back then said that now they
finally could get away from the blind ghetto solutions and use mainstream
apps, and not have to pay a humongous price for things that are already
I'm not a big fan of the term blind Ghetto. With the trouble blind
people have finding employment, I don't think we should use disparaging
terms to label products and applications that could make people more
competitive in the market place. Which is more ghetto like, being
unemployed or under
I use it in portrait mode. I just estimate where the keys are. I guess, to
practice, try using the regular keyboard to get use to where the keys are.

Hello. At one time, I had the same problem you are currently
having. Here are a few tips:
1. Know the qwerty keyboard. Before using Fleksy, you should
have a good mental picture of where everything is on the qwerty
keyboard.
2. Type with your index fingers. It does not work very well to

Hi Debbi,
Try roaming around the keyboard first so that you get used to how tall the
keyboard actually is as it is significantly bigger than the stock
portrait-mode keyboard in IOS.
