Several ideas present. First, maybe it is backed up on iCloud anyway. Check. Try another USB port on that computer which appears to have issues. You might try copying over the backup files manually to a functioning computer although I'm not 100% sure that would work. This points up why a litt

Thanks for the suggestions, Kevin. All three USB ports on the laptop have the same problem. I had her go through and update the drivers then disable and re-enable each USB device in device manager. I don't know what happened after that as I haven't spoken with her yet this morning. Kimber On 6/1
