Yes when putting in my phone number I did get the bonk sound while I was typing
but it didn't matter.

That happens in some apps, but it probably is still entering your number, just
enter it and tap OK or Next or whatever they have. I have WhatsApp set up to
use 2-factor authentication and from time to time I am asked to enter a code I
set up and it behaves the same way, I just hear the donk
I get what Casey is getting and that’s what I was talking about earlier. And
I’ve done it three times and nothing looks to be entered in the text field I
have proof of it because when I go character by character in the text field
nothings entered.

The Bank Of America app is doing that for logging in but the information is

Try just entering your phone number, ignoring the sounds and seemingly lack of
input and see if it ends up taking it.
