You are correct.
And since Prizmo is not designed to be a text reading app, it will take a
little work to get it pasted in.
I'd recommend rather exporting the text from prizmo and putting all of it in
Voice Dream Writer, or all into notes, or any other text editor of your choice.

I could be wrong here but after doing some research the only way it appears to
transfer the notes is to copy and paste them.

It's a really, really bad idea to store anything of importance in iCloud. If
you decide to switch operating systems, it is difficult if not impossible to
move your data. I would suggest something like Google Drive which is accessible
from Windows, OS X, Gnu/Linux, Android, iOS, and Chrome.
