All this was done. I even went as far as uninstalling itunes and
reinstalling it and making sure all the i's were dotted and the t's crossed
but the sharing option des not show in my iphone music app nor in my ipad
mini's music app.
though I got it to work in my sister's iphone.

Open Settings, and choose Music. Home Sharing is the last option. Type in your
Apple ID and password,. Now Sharing should be an option in the More section of
the Music app.
