The Beam is a smaller soundbar, the item you are describing is the Playbase
which came out around the same time or maybe a bit after the original Playbar
and it does not look like Sonos is updating

issues with the TV and the Arc, but my wife did have to go into the TV

The Arc has 11 sound drivers, while the Beam has either 3 or 5.
The Arc is about 45 inches long.
I think the Beam is more than a foot shorter.
