I have just got a second iPhone. The second phone is more as a backup in case I damage or lose the first. Also I plan to use another phone number on it. Can I use the same Apple ID on both phones? And can I use the same backup for both phones so that I would have identical data in both platforms?

Hello Cheryl there's a good chance that you can transfer all your files and folders as they are from your old phone to your new phone I had in ATT 64 GB phone transferred to a Sprint 16 GB phone all my files and folders came out fine what you need to do is sync to iCloud with your old phone

Hi Cheryl I don't think there's a reason that you can't do do the job with iTunes but I just found that messing around with the iTunes and the PC just was too cumbersom and I just don't argue with success and it worked the first time so that's why I chose that Method Sent from my iPhone On

Thanks so much. I used restore from backup but chose it to restore from the backup of the old phone. This worked except that i initially lost the phone number in the scroll area but I got it back and renamed it back to the name for the new one and I have my contacts and my folders. -- Cheryl
