Or maybe it's my querky voice that Vokul doesn't like but Siri does.

Hi. Vokul uses Neospeech Julie as the female voice and Neospeech Paul

voice in the VoiceDream Reader app.

I don't have Siri but in my experience Vokul is less accurate than Siri
which when I used it on a friend's iPhone 5 could understand me with no

Vokul I think uses the Alex voice found on the mac. There is also a

There is an iphone app called Vokul. Spelled v o k u l. This app lets you

it sends it. It does a lot of other cool things too. The coolest part of the

Yeah, ever since iOS 6, Vokul can no longer automatically send your
texts. Apple did something to squelch this ability.
One thing I've learned to do with any dictation app is to use the
headset/mic that came with the iPhone. This will work just as well
with any other headset, though. I

You need to get into a screen where VoiceOver reads something for a good
while so that you can adjust the volume while it is speaking. That is the
best way. The VoiceOver volume is best changed while it is speaking to
you.

Hello,
vokul for me has been very very good and has hardly misunderstood
anything I say to it. I love Vokul for my texting.
I use Evi for everything but texting and social media updates though.
You can't ask Vokul where the nearest gas station is for example.

I have checked out the description on iTunes regarding both apps and I was

each app and which one would you consider purchasing? There was one comment

I asked this question perhaps two weeks ago but got no response, so
thought I would try again.
Has any 4S user done an A-B comparison of the functionality and
reliability of Siri and either Vokul or Voice Assistant? If so, I would
really enjoy knowing your assessment.
Thanks.

Hi Mark, what I would do in this case is issue the spoken command "vokul
stop listening" and then do your deleting. Say "vokul start listening" to
get Vokul going again.

I've tried using "vokul stop listening" and just "stop listening" but

Is there a certain point in time where you have to say it and does
vokul say it's stopped listening once it recognizes the comman

Hi all,
I would strongly suggest temporarily muting
VoiceOver when using vokul via a 3 finger
double tap.
I know it's not an optimal solution, but it will
make vokul operate more smoothly. Also,
if you run vokul in the background, the VoiceOver
prompts should be disabled.
