If you flick through the options, there will be a blank spot it lands on, if you double tap on that, it will be on Apple Pay, if the option is set up in passbook. Maybe it's always there, and tells you to set it up if it's not, but it was kind of hard to find. - Original Message

I've had issues having all of my fingers recognized as well. My left thumb works the most often and reliably, which is probably the one I will use to authorize the Apple Pay transactions. I think the point of using your fingerprint is not having to enter your password, but I haven't tried Apple
