Ok, this is sort of related to the editing discussion going on but not exactly.
I have found that when editing a text entry it is very confusing as to how the
cursor works.
If I move the cursor forward(toward the end) and press the delete button it
seems to delete the character where the

The cursor follows what you are doing. That is, according to the direction you
are working in. The cursor will shift when you change your direction of work.
Say that you are at the start of the second paragraph in an editor. If you move
forward to the right, the cursor will be to the left
