I just downloaded the voice assistant ap, it's a dictation ap that my
girlfriend recommended but it doesn't seem to jive with voiceover. I
have also tried dragon's naturally speaking ap and it wasn't very
accessible either. I have an iphone 4s and the dictate feature on it is
ok, but

Voice Assistant is one of the best dictation apps right now, and is
actually fully usable with VoiceOver.
The only thing you need to be aware of is that VoiceOver is muted when
you start dictating, as this stops its chattering from interfering with

I've not used it on an iPad, but it is a universal app, so should work
