set the button to "off". You can have as many alarms you want in there. Just
turn them on and off as you prefer. Pre - set 50 alarms if you want, but you
have to manually turn them on or off.

Atually, if you turn snooze off in the Alarm setting, the power button
indeed just turns off the alarm.
If snooze is on, then the power button puts the alarm in snooze mode
