and tried to buy it but couldn't. So on the website I did a search and then was
able to buy the book with one click and that was using the website and not the
wish list

You can only buy kindle books through the amazon web site whether on
your phone or laptop.
If you have one click purchasing enabled it's very easy. One thing to
be aware of is there is a combo box where you will need to select
where you want the book delivered. For example, on my account the

I am confused when you say you bought a book using the Amazon app, since Apple
doesn't let the Amazon app actually sell you books. You have to do it on the
website. You can put a book on your wish list using the app. Might that be what
you did?
