Yes. On the newer iPhone 10 and 11 series, there is a setting called
Tap to Wake. Go to settings, Accessibility, Touch, and there will be a
toggle for Tap to Wake further down the screen. This drove me crazy
when I first got my 10R, and I called Apple Accessibility to learn how
to fix it.
