I have been hosting Virtuoso v5 v6 servers externally using my home dyndns
account for years and it has always worked:
http://nevisian.dyndns.org/
Nothing special had to be configured on whatever port is runs on as I use to
run on port 8890 also. I just setup my dyndns

sparql endpoint via my dyndns account.
