Hi All...
In 3.3.7 and earlier, the server name dropdown only displayed the server

You could try:
Download the source of the applet from somewhere
Hack it to pull the "password" from the of the web page or even
(gasp) hardcode it
Serve your hacked applet from the same server as your web page

Hi All...
When I run 4.0b4 vncviewer on a Win98 machine to a Win2k server, there is a
problem with fullscreen mode. On both machines, I have a pop-up toolbar at
the bottom of the screen. The problem is that in full screen mode, the Win98

My question is: is there a silent VNC, or has anyone expressed interest in
making one? I would mess with the source code, but I don't want to mess
anything up.
Even better, what tools would make running VNC over a large network easer?
You can find a silent version of VNC here:

Hi there,
We're using VNC to monitor agent stations running character-based DOS apps
(windowed, not fullscreen). VNC doesn't seem to refresh the DOS window very
regularly, and sometimes menu selections or text inputs will be missed.
We've tested out UltraVNC as well in hopes that the video drive

I'm an assistant network admin, and run VNC on many computers so I can
fix basic problems from my office.
Most of the computers are Windows, so the VNC icon is in the taskbar. As
I am at a school, I don't want it so that students can see the program
running, or can change the password on me.

I have a remote computer a few states away that I need to remotely
access. Both server and viewer are Win2k boxes running vnc 3.3.7, with
the viewer having a public IP, straight to the internet, and the server
being behind a firewall, using the "Add New Client" feature, both
running T1s. When "Add

Hi, all.
I've managed to knacker my VNC setup by downloading all the latest security
patches from Microsoft.
Last night it was working fine after downloading from WindowsUpdate to my

Today, even though I've enabled local loopbacks in the registry on the

Will the be included in an upcoming release?

Gavin.
