Hi Noriaki, It sounds like they are saying that the KDE-specific krfb VNC-based viewer server use encoding number 17. I've just checked the krdc (krfb) 3.5.3 viewer and verified that, while it does try to use some unregistered encoding numbers, 17 isn't one of them, so you should be fine.

Apparently you can't. You have to use version 4. Kent Parker wrote: I'm using V.3.3 and trying to setup shared connections on a Windows 2003 server where VNC is running as a service. How do you set it up so that the default is to always allow shared connections? -- * Zoner

But how to enable it as asked by the original poster? I can't see it in VNC3.3's properties dialog. James Weatherall wrote: That's not true. VNC 3.3 series servers supported shared connections, just not very efficiently! -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Many of the more advanced options were only accessible by modifying the registry directly. In this instance, things will be much simpler for the original poster if he removes his VNC 3.3 server and runs a VNC 4.1.2 one! Cheers, Wez @ RealVNC Ltd. -Original Message- From: [EMAIL
