Hello,
While reading an article at http://www.linuxjournal.com/article.php?sid=5499
It refers to starting the VNC server at boot up, and editing the passwd file.
However, if the vncserver has a password assigned already, this means the passwd file
in the /root/.vnc is being used?
when I open
Hello,
Hope all is well
More than likely this has been asked before, however, any links or information,
specially experience about this will be appreciated.
A RHL8 system with VNC server running & accepting one connection. There's a
/etc/sysconfig/vncservers file, I think this is where the other
Ok, yes, that's it!!!It is not installed.

Hello
Did an rpm test install of the Redhat 7.3 RPM
(.i386.rpm) available for download, at the
http://www.realvnc.com/download.html site.
The test reported a 100% ok. The intended system is
Red Hat Linux 8.
Is this package, Redhat 7.3RPM (.i386.rpm)
recommended?
Should we just use the latest
Hello All!
Did an installation of RHL8 & installed the
vnc-3.3.3r2-39 version that came with CD.
Now, I know this is rather old but, shouldn't
vncserver had been installed & set to run at startup?
I expected to just type vncserver at the terminal but
"command not found" appears.
The rpm -q comma
IP and assigned hostname, system can of course be
pinged.
That's the situation. I think a file has to be modifed
in the vnc file to allow multiple connections.
Thanks again!

Hello!
I've been able to connect to the vncserver running in
Linux.
Since it is two users required to acces system
remotely, I'd like the capability of doing this, that
way, either user keeps his own applications, etc, open
& do not disturb (close a terminal window, etc) each
other.
It mentions
