I don't think you can. I believe it was designed so it had to be there.
However, mine disappears all the time. I think on the old one if you ran it
as a service it wouldn't always come up.

on my system, I open port 5800 & 5900 and route them to port 5800 & 5900
using the internal IP address of my firewalled machine.
If you need more than one, you can map 5801 & 5901 to the same ports on a
different machine using "display number" 1
