For automated setup of VNC, i need some password encoder for it.
it has to be able to accept a password at commandline,
and write any output to a file.

It's a bit hard to configure anything, when vnc 3 & 4 start a fight about
who gets port 5900 AND the .VNC extension...
So setting the port to anything else would be just a start.
By changing the extension i can safely use both on one system!

Is it possible to put the entire config of VNC server in one (coded) file?
i hate to see i have to re-config vnc every time i re-install the system.
maybe something like a reg.dump for ALL vnc settings (looks like a load of
keys!)

stop the vnc server with 'winvnc -kill',
then restart it with 'winvnc'
xp will ask what you want to do after restarting vnc...

The main problem was that I didnt know what ports were open or closed.
It wasnt too difficult to open them under ICS and all is working well
why not use display numbers above 6000?
uses display+5800 and display+5900
lets say display=2100 (7900 and 8000)
also, in this case you have only one port for the whole system...
