Gurjit,
I belive what you're asking for is achievable, if you're willing/able
to dedicate a specific port/vnc-display to each user. Take a look at
the Xvnc man page "USAGE WITH INETD" section, specifically where it
talks about inetd "wait" mode.

mode on inetd.conf but it also did not work.

Roque,
I have persistant sessions working on HP-UX 11.11 with RealVNC Free Edition
4.1.1. The trick for HP-UX seems to be to use 'swait' mode in the inetd.conf.

I imagine if you hit a Microsoft senior executiv
es (but I'm not really that familiar with xinetd - I'm using inetd
on my vnc server system).
I'll ask the obvious question - what version of VNC are you running?

It MAY be possible to build VNC4 from source on HP-UX 10.20. I was
able to build version 3.3.7, but the 4.0 build system has been way
too complex for me to muddle through.

I don't think I'm alone when I say I'd like to see more
ink bewteen server and viewer,
then I'd recommend using TightVNC with tight encoding. TightVNC builds
on HP-UX 10.20 with only a few config file tweaks, and I have good evidence
that my TightVNC 1.2.8 server binary also runs fine on HP-UX 11.00.
