I have a similar issue, but for keyboard mouse. I have three machines
on my desk - Win XP, Linux Solaris. I've found that running the Cygwin
X server on Windows and using x2x from it works very well. My WinXP
monitor is in the middle, with the Linux and Solaris ones to the west
