It seems to me that if the manufacturer says that a scanner will work on a Mac then there is a very good chance it will. I guess a good practice is not to accept goods which have been opened, lest some elf has helped themselves, or take a look in the box when purchasing to make sure the advertised

Hi, I have a laser printer and a recently acquired inkjet printer connected to my iMac OS 9.0.4 via a 4 port USB hub.
