How many people running OS X restart their machines on a regular basis?
Is there any reason to restart rather than put to sleep?
I'm just curious because none of the machines I run that have 10.3.2 on
them are restarted unless some software install requires it or there is
I had the same thing happen to me. The only thing I can think of was
that my cpu had gotten too hot (~70c) and the system halted to protect
itself. This was on a new 15" Powerbook.
What hardware were you running? Were you doing anything cpu intensive?

A strange one! For no obvious reason a grey veil dropped down across
the screen which was fully visible but muted. The computer froze and a
