Swapfiles not released

For no apparent reason I find that swapfiles arising from PhotoShopCS are not released when they are no longer needed, even when I quit PhotoShop. They build up in sequence - 64MB, 64MB, 128MB, 256MB, 512MB, 1GB and so on. Even with a session with many large files open this does not always ha
