SORRY, to post this again, but still at a loss of how to sort this
out. I have visited MacFixit, but nothing seems to make any
difference. I am now thinking of deleting all printer drivers and
then reinstalling the ones I need? Another error message coming up
is : Communication error c

I saw the "which scanner" email but I do not want a 'combined'
printer scanner. I have looked on the archived list and the server
is not supplying them at present. What is the best buy at present for
a flatbed scanner up to about $500.00 hopefully with OCR included.

I have had similar printing problems in the past. I find that using disk
utility to repair permissions usually fixes it - especially after a OS
update.

If I get a telstra wireless cable modem ( Motorola surfboard sbg 900)
and run the self install intitially using my Windoze XP computer am I
likely then to have any problems configuring my imac G5 ( 10.4.x) to
connect wirelessly, ideally with the Windoz computer never connected
again?

is some third-party software that extends iCal (just like there's
software that extends Safari).
If not, you can "do it yourself", even though it's not as elegant as

I don't know what you mean by "an HTML photo". There isn't really such
a thing. Photos on websites are usually JPEG. All you have to do is
drag the image from Safari to your desktop. You can alternatively do a
Control-click on the image to get a menu that'll allow you to open the
image in
I forgot to mention that I did manage to get the block removed
without too much trouble. I just can't use my account anymore
because it might result in a permanent block.
I'm annoyed more than anything else because I disagree with the
university policy.
