Hi all
I believe some organisations who sell off large numbers of redundant
machines just get the drives destroyed rather than pay someone to
*securely* erase the data in order

Hi everyone,
On closer examination I found that not only Language was missing but so were
several other functions.
I took the long way round and reinstalled and did all the upgrades. Back to
normal now. One of the great mysteries of life - and M$ word,

I've told my friend that using ALL CAPS is the email way of shouting and

If you use iTerm or some command line program then you can escape the
forward slashes with back slashesor use inverted commas:
ie. cp -Rvp /path/to/directory/containing/files/13\/01\/2007.blah /
path/to/destination/directory/
or cp -Rvp /path/to/directory/containing/files/* /path/to/dest
Hello,
Is anyone able to sync their Palm Vx with OSX 10.4.8?
I used to be able to do it via the hot sync cradle, a serial to USB
connection and an earlier version of OSX. But somewhere along the way it has
stopped syncing.
I can get it to sync with a Windows running XP, and even my OS9 7600, so

Once you've booted from a DVD (or CD), if you launch Disk Utility, does it

Sounds like the drive may not be working, or the connection cable is perhaps
loose. I'm sure one of our experts will come with an explanation and
solution.

Hi every1,
I recently bought a G4 from ebay

and it says the drive was reformatted.
I have the machine now and it will boot from a CD or DVD but cannot
seem to locate a valid destination for installing a system.
