Hi every1,
If you want to change .wma files to MP3 files...see if you can locate
a program (now defunct) called AUDION X, it will do this...
Cheers,
Kevin from Wycheproof.

Hi folks.
An Apple Daylight Savings update is now available...

Hmm - installed the update, but there's no indication it's applying daylight
savings - there's no UI I can see to configure, and when I set the clock the
Apple.asia it reverts to pre-daylight savings time.
Back to the manual adjustment for me.

Works for me in Perth. I previously had mine set to Apple.asia but my
region was set to Korea which was on the same time line as Perth on
daylight saving. Now my Mac thinks I can am in Perth again.

I just restarted after installing the update, and G5 showed 1.45, an
hour ahead. I set 'Date Time' to Automatic and bingo, it jumped to
the correct time.
So it seems to work fine.
Thanks

It is a bit confusing. The update to 10.4.8 is not enough. There
is now a specific Daylight Saving update available at Software Update

Adrian,
Have you changed your 'Time Zone' to 'Perth-Australia?

asia time server gives the right time.

If any of you have a lab of computers or multiple and have some way of
applying a UNIX command you can use this which will; Reset time zone to
Perth, set a network time server and also set it to use the time server.
Systemsetup -settimezone Australia/Perth
Systemsetup -setnetworktimeserver
Hello All
MacBook Pro running 10.4.8. Cannot force quit Photo Booth
programme. Have tried from the dock; opt-ctl-esc; and Activity
Monitor. Is there anything else I can do to force quit other than a
restart?
With thanks.

Hey
These Intel Macs aren't very good are they, Andy and I are both running
identical specced MBPs and they freeze and lock up a lot, my old 2DP 1Ghz G4
never did this!
Thanks, David Moyle

Hi Ronni
That hasn't worked either.
Thanks for the suggestion though. I have used Photo Booth quite a
bit, find it very useful, this is the first time it has done this.

Hi David
I haven't really had any problems with my MBP, this refusal to force
quit is the first I have encountered. Perhaps the fan stays on more
than my previous PowerBook did.
