A word of comment regarding the 10.5.2 update that has just appeared.
You need to be very patient, it takes a LONG time with no apparent
action for much of the process!

Hi All,
I'm trying to find a good Application based CRM (not web based) that
can handle the following:
- Contact Management (and relationships if possible)
- Project Management (even as simple as a Project name with To Do
items attached to it)
- Opportunity/Pipeline management (must be
OK !
So you have a Laptop G4 with hard drive problems .
That is not unusual for a Laptop and the most reliable answer is
probably
a new hard drive .
See here : http://www.macintouch.com/readerreports/powerbookg4/
topic2024.html
Some people enjoy Tech tools . other's find it troublesome .
Deleting ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Safari.plist did the job.
But I discovered that Safari should be quitted before this is done,
otherwise the dodgy effort gets replaced.
Thanks everyone, another human victory over a machine.
Paul.

Hi,
I have a Power Book PPC G4 running 10.4.11. The laptop stopped booting,
hanging on login window loading. I booted using tech tools cd and ran
all tests. The report stated bad sectors on the disk and it failed the
surface scan. Before repairing I backed up all the data to an external
drive

I notice that a thread-posting I made today about a successful Safari
fix (Westnet MyPhoto feature is anti-Safari) didn't appear.
Is there a glitch?
Have you removed from User-Library-Preferences the file
com.gordonbyrnes.SafariEnhancer.plist
and then restarted ?
If it is still the same after that , remove from User-Library-
Preferences
the file com.apple.Safari.plist
and restart .
Bob
Sorry you got caught with Leopard but
Hi Wamuggers
I was about to download Skype but saw a very critical post on the Version
Tracker site. Does anyone know which version would be the one for 10.5 Intel
and PPC?

Well, if it fixes what Apple says it's supposed to, I'll be happy!

My Dell display wasn't recognised after the update - issue was with a PCI
USB 2.0 card I had installed.
Removed it and everything booted up fine. Haven't put it back in yet, but I
wouldn't be surprised if things worked just fine.
