hi everyone
Is there someone who is using on Myob's the same company file on
more than one computer who are not linked (wireless or not
wireless).I need to use
Myob on 2 seperate computers who are in different locations.Myob
told me that everytime I change something on one machine
Martin, rather than have the MYOB data file on two separate machines
you could either have the data file/s on a mobile external hard drive
or on your Dot Mac/MobileMe account.
You may even be able to have it on your iPhone?

Hi Martin
You could try using Dropbox http://www.getdropbox.com/ It will let
you synchronise your files across multiple computers. Looks good so
far only been using it for a week
But it should allow you to send the database file to two different
Macs keeping both files up to date at all times
Hi Martin, I'm using MYOBs AccountEdge on different computers. I just
bring the data file across to the machine I'm currently working on -
sometimes even email it to myself, and it works as normal. I'm not
trying to sync it, of course, I just make sure I have the one with the
latest
Martin,
If you had the same file open from two computers at the same time, and
made changes .. maybe there would be problems.
But as Susan says, if you makes changes on one computer, close it and
make changes on another, there shouldn't be an issue.
Our MYOB file is used on our Mac, goes to the
tjhanks for the answers
What would happen if I would change one companyfile in the workshop
in timebilling change the companyfile in sales or purchases in
the office and try to bring both companyfiles on the same level ---
don'y know howis this then possible.

Hi Martin, that would involve trying to merge them, and that's what
would result in a mess - unless the file is on a central server which
is accessible by the workshop and the office, and IS NOT BEING USED AT
THE SAME TIME IN DIFFERENT PLACES.
In other words, the same file needs to be used
Hi Glen
is multi user mode that I do changes on different computers- at a
different or same time - without updating the other one?So that
basically both companyfiles need updating in different locations in
their companyfile?

I am seeking a late 2005 Power Mac G5 (2.0, 2.3 or 2.7 Ghz) as an
alternative to replacing the processor on my own machine.
In the meantime I remain on forced vacation. Any possibilities or
suggestions?
